'Impossible Realities:  Indigenous and Non-indigenous Relationships in a Sydney Aboriginal Community'

By Kristina Everett

Kristina's fieldwork was undertaken with a community of Aboriginal people in the Western suburbs of Sydney. Her interests have been focused around visual and performing arts production by urban Aboriginal peoples and how these articulations represent changing identities, facilitate relationships between different Aboriginal peoples and non-Aboriginal peoples and maintain delineations between peoples. In other words, Kristina's interest is concerned with not only what urban Aboriginal art might 'mean' or 'say', but also with what it produces, allows and interdicts.

Et harum quidem rerum facilis est et expedita distinctio.
